The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Bishkek ( Russian Кыргызско-Российский Славянский университет (КРСУ) , Kyrgyssko-Rossijskkoi Slavyansky Uniwersitet (KRSU) ) is a university in Bishkek , Kyrgyzstan .

history

The university is a state university established on the basis of an agreement on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance signed in 1992 between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic. The university is a member of the Russian Union of Universities.

Today's university offers training in eight faculties with 21 subjects. Bachelor and master degree programs as well as doctoral studies. The university is known for its regional studies. Centers for American and European studies, for Sinology, for Turkish language and cultural studies, for German studies, for Iranian studies, for the study of the Commonwealth of Independent States / CIS and for world religions have been set up. English, French, German, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Ukrainian can also be learned.

In addition to participating in the EU Tempus program, there is close cooperation with the Moscow State Institute for International Relations , Newcastle University in Great Britain and Lanzhou University in the People's Republic of China.

The teaching and research of the approx. 10,000 students (7,000 full-time students / 3,000 part-time students) is carried out by approx. 425 professors and lecturers. The current rector is Vladimir Nifadijew .
