Kirsten Flesch

Kirsten Flesch (born July 8, 1957 in Remscheid ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1995 to 2016 .

Life and study

Flesch grew up in Remscheid and has lived in Berlin since 1971. In 1976 she passed her Abitur in Berlin-Reinickendorf. She studied law at the Free University of Berlin and worked as a lawyer, building lawyer in the Höhenschönhausen district office and as a consultant in the Senate Department for Finance. She has lived in Berlin-Neukölln since 1981 . Flesch has been chairwoman of the Berlin-Südost workers' welfare organization since 2007 .

politics

Flesch joined the SPD in 1990. From November 30, 1995 she was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives and from 1995 to 2000 she was deputy chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group. In addition, she was spokeswoman for the legal, constitutional protection, administrative reform committees and member of the main committee in parliament. In 2001 she was elected in the constituency of Neukölln 1 with 38.9% of the first votes, in 2006 with 38.2% of the first votes and in 2011 with 25.6% of the first votes. In 2016 she left the House of Representatives.
