Kirsti Strøm Bull

Kirsti Strøm Bull (born April 27, 1945 ) is a professor at the Institute for Private Law of the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo .

She graduated with a law degree in 1969 and received a doctorate in law from the University of Oslo in 1993 . Her specialties are family law and the law of the Sami . In total, she has written about 100 scientific articles and contributions in books.

In the spring of 1970 she was a research assistant at the Nordic Institute for Marine Sciences at the Law Faculty of the University of Oslo, and in 1970/71 she was a judge. From 1971 to 1987 she worked as a lecturer at the Institute for Private Law, where she was appointed professor on May 1, 1987. From 2003 to 2008 she also worked at the Norwegian Center for Human Rights. Kirsti Strøm Bull is also a professor at the Sami University in Kautokeino (Guovdageaidnu).

Since the beginning of February 2013 she has been the President of the Norwegian Academy of Sciences . At the end of 2011, she became its vice-president.
