Kirstin Funke

Kirstin Funke (born March 10, 1973 in Kiel ) is a Schleswig-Holstein politician ( FDP ) and was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag for the 17th electoral period (2009–2012).

education and profession

Kirstin Funke put 1993 the Abitur at the Waldorf School Eckernförde and studied for a year abroad as an au pair in Cincinnati / Ohio law at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. As managing director of a flagship store for the brands Tandem, Transit and Transit Uomo in Kiel, she continues her studies as a business lawyer in distance learning.

Kirstin Funke has been a member of the FDP Schleswig-Holstein since 2000. Since 2011 she has been a member of the state board as European representative of the Schleswig-Holstein regional association. She was a member of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district council of the FDP from 2002 to 2011 and was vice-chairwoman from 2005-2011. From 2002 to 2005 she was deputy district chairwoman of the Young Liberals Rendsburg-Eckernförde and also a member of the State Board of the Young Liberals Schleswig-Holstein. Kirstin Funke is a founding member of the Liberal Women Schleswig-Holstein and from 2005 to 2009 she was also their deputy state chairman. Since 2005 she has been a delegate of the FDP Schleswig-Holstein for the ELDR (European Liberal Democratic Reformers) Congress and since 2007 a member of the FDP's federal committee for international politics.

In 2009 she was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament via the state list (9th place) and was a member of both the European and education committees. For the state parliament she was secretary and member of the working group "Integrated Maritime Policy" of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference. She was spokeswoman for the FDP parliamentary group for the areas of European, science, women's and cultural policy.

Other offices

Kirstin Funke has been a member of the Federal Presidium of the Europa-Union Deutschland eV since November 2011 and has been the deputy state chairwoman of the Europa-Union Schleswig-Holstein eV since 2010 and has been organizing the award ceremony of the European school competition in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district for the Europa-Union Rendsburg since 2007 -Eckernförde.

From 1997 to 2009 she was a volunteer in the sailing regatta office for the Kieler Woche in Kiel-Schilksee and from 2006 to 2008 head of the regatta and jury office for the hll Dragon Grand Prix and the charity regatta for the Childhood Foundation in Strande.
