Kisaki Tomoharu (* 1921 ; † 1996 ) 9th Dan Karate - Grandmaster of the Gōjū-Ryū style. Kisaki was a student of Chōjun Miyagi and his successor Gogen Yamaguchi . Founded in 1954, the Yuishinkan - Dojo in Osaka , Japan . Kisaki had the 3rd Dan in judo , a professorship for Budo arts and was president of the karate student association. He expanded the Gōjū-Ryū style to include ground fighting and throws . His student Fritz Nöpel brought Gōjū-ryū to Germany. The successor is Shigeru Nagoya , 8th Dan, also from Osaka .
