Kiss of Rose Princess ( Japanese 薔薇 嬢 の キ ス , Barajō no Kisu ) is a manga series by the Japanese illustrator Aya Shōoto , which has been published in Japan since 2008. It now has over 1500 pages, has been adapted as a radio play and translated into several languages.

Anis Yamamoto ( 八 麻 本 ア ニ ス , Yamamoto Anisu ) received a talisman in the form of a rose from her father as a child, which she should always carry with her. Should Anis ever take it off, she would be punished. But when she was 16, she lost her talisman. Now it is revealed to her that she is the mistress of four knights, good-looking young men, who from then on compete for their favor. They fight for it, but rob it of vitality. Anis decides to investigate the secret of this punishment for losing the talisman.
Characters
- Anis Yamamoto (Rose Princess)
- Anise has pink, knee-length hair and dark pink eyes. She is relatively small for a 16-year-old and received a rose necklace from her father that she must not lose. After she loses the collar, she wears an almost identical looking but fake collar. You can almost only see Anise in her school uniform and otherwise she wears cute, feminine and pretty clothes.
- Kaede Higa (Red Rose)
- Kaede has dark red, short and very messy hair and purple eyes. He's handsome like the other rose knights and he's well trained. He almost always wears his school uniform, but sometimes you can also see him in his normal everyday clothes or in the work clothes of the shrine.
- Mutsuki Kurama (Black Rose)
- Mutsuki has jet black hair and blood red eyes. He is the largest of Anise's rose knights. You can almost always see Mutsuki in the 2nd grade school uniform.
- Seiran Asagi (Blue Rose)
- Seiran has light blue, chin-length hair. His eyes are amber and he looks girlish and fragile. At first, Anis even envies his pretty, girlish face. About as big as Anise, it is the smallest of the Rose Knights. He almost always wears the school uniform of the Shobi high school, but you can often see him in the clothes that Ninufa has sewn.
- Mitsuru Tenjoh (White Rose)
- Tenjoh is always described as the rich and handsome Head Boy. He has white hair and blue eyes. He usually wears his school uniform, but in his free time he usually wears rather cheesy clothes. You can also see him in his pastoral clothes.
Publications
The manga was published from June 2008 to December 2011 in the manga magazine Monthly Asuka of the Japanese publisher Kadokawa Shoten . The chapters are also published in nine edited volumes. An English translation is offered online by JManga; a German translation was published in full by Carlsen Verlag from September 2012 to June 2014 . The series was published in French by Soleil Productions.
In 2009, two radio play CDs based on the manga were released in Japan.
