Kiss the Blade is a gothic rock band from Vienna, founded in 1991 . Musically, the band is strongly influenced by Fields of the Nephilim and The Sisters of Mercy , and in their early days also influenced by Christian Death and the Virgin Prunes , and describes their very hard, rock-heavy and psychedelic style, which is characterized by flanger sounds, as hard goth .
