Kitchen Sink ( German kitchen sink ) referred to in the software development one kind of example . This example serves to explain how a program code works and shows all possible functions of a program. This is not for commercial purposes and is only intended to provide the fullest possible range of functions, e.g. E.g. an API , a framework or a library .

Various manufacturers provide a single application that reproduces the complete range of functions of the advertised API and thus gives the developers a quick overview of the respective range of functions.
