Kiwayu (also Kiwaihu ) is an island in the Lamu Archipelago in Kenya and is the only inhabited island in the Marine Park Kiunga National Marine Reserve . It is located about 10 km north of Pate Island and is about 500 meters from the mainland at its narrowest point. In the center of the island there is a conical hill with an elevation of 47 meters.
The inhabitants of the island live from fishing and tourism.
