action

The mythical creatures Kiwi and Strit live in a clearing in a forest that is home to numerous other fantastic creatures in addition to the two. The two are best friends, but they have very different character traits. Kiwi is very neat, always plans his actions in advance, is shy and cautious. Strit, on the other hand, is spontaneous and reckless, he usually acts without thinking beforehand. The houses of the two main characters also correspond to their characters: Kiwi's house is tidy and tidy, Strit's house is completely chaotic and even lies on its side. Together they experience different adventures, which they capture on a Polaroid photo at the end of each episode.

The series aims to make it clear to children that there can be true friendship between completely different characters.

Episodes

The first season of Kiwi & Strit with 26 episodes was produced in 2017. A second season with a further 26 episodes is currently (as of October 2019) in production.

reception

Oliver Armknecht, editor-in-chief of Film-Rezensions.de, compares Kiwi & Strit with the minions from Despicable Me and the characters from the film Die Tinzlinge - Operation Sugar Bowl . He sees the two main characters in "the best tradition of other Scandinavian fantasy creatures". The series is simple and not very demanding, but still “humorous”, “charming and turbulent” and can be recommended for children without hesitation.

Publications

The Edel Germany label released the series on three DVDs in German-speaking countries.
