Kiyoharu

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kiyoharu ( Japanese 清 春 ; civil: 森 清 治 , Mori Kiyoharu ; born October 30, 1968 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese J-rock musician. At first he was the singer of the rock group Kuroyume , then he joined SADS . In 2003 he began a solo career with the single Aurora . He served the author of the manga Perfect Girl as a model for the male main character.

Life

Kiyoharu started his musical career with the visual kei bands SUS4 and GARNET . After GARNET was history, he and their bassist Hitoki founded the band Kuroyume in June 1991 , which stylistically also belonged to visual kei and became one of the most famous and influential bands in the 1990s. Many musicians of the younger generation, for example Merrys Gara and Dir en grays Kyo, name Kuroyume as one of the bands that has influenced them a lot. After seven and a half years, the band was finally disbanded in January 1999 due to musical differences between Kiyoharu and Hitoki.

During his time in the band he met L'Arc-en-Ciel's singer Hyde , with whom he recorded a cover version of the band Gastunk's song Husk in 1994 and wrote a column for SHOXX magazine.

A short time later, in April 1999, Kiyoharu appeared in the music business with a new band: SADS . In 2001, the band formed their own label, Fullface Records , and released their records themselves. The label also produced for other bands such as Merry 's Gendai Stoic . In 2003, SADS bassist Eiji Mitsuzono decided to leave the band and as a result SADS paused their band activities indefinitely.

Kiyoharu therefore decided to walk solo and released his first album Poetry in 2004 . In addition to singing, he also took on the role of guitarist. He also worked with several musicians and surprised his fans by expanding his vocal repertoire and experimenting with different vocal styles, but also with his music as such.

He also tried his hand at a fashion and jewelry designer.

In 2005 he toured Japan with Pierrot's front man Kirito. The year 2006 and 2007 again brought several releases to fans.

On January 29, 2010, Kiyoharu announced on his blog that he would like to resurrect both SADS and Kuroyume. After 7 years, SADS released a new album on July 7th 2010. The performance with the title “gothic circus” at NIPPON BUDOKAN on May 1st was sold out within minutes.
