Kjølen (Norwegian for Kiel ) is an island off the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It is located 1.5 km south of Foldøya on the east side of Stefansson Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, mapped them using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . She was visited in 1956 by a team on the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions .
