Kjosfossen waterfall

The Kjosfossen is a legendary waterfall in Norway . It belongs to the municipality of Aurland in the province of Vestland and is located directly on the Flåm Railway . In 1951, a train stop was built near the waterfall so that travelers could get off the train to visit the waterfall. The stopping place is about four kilometers from the Myrdal train station at an altitude of 670 meters above sea level.

During the main travel season in summer, Huldras (Norw. Huldrene ) appear at the entrance of the train , who perform a dance at the waterfall. The performers are students at the Norwegian Ballet School.
