Klagenfurt newspaper

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Klagenfurter Zeitung from August 1, 1914

The Klagenfurter Zeitung appeared from 1784 (?) To 1886 and, after a brief interruption, from 1887 to 1938, when it was discontinued at the same time as the Carinthian border call was first published. After the war years, the newspaper was continued from 1949 to 1951. At first the newspaper appeared daily, later only twice a week, always in the 4 ° format.

Since two newspapers of the same name were occasionally published in Klagenfurt, the information in the secondary literature with regard to format, frequency of publication and the stock that has been preserved are difficult to assign to the respective newspaper company.

The imprint names Josef Schotter as a publisher and printer. The former Kleinmayr publishing house archive in Klagenfurt serves as proof of location .

The Carinthian science magazine Carinthia emerged from a supplement to the Klagenfurter Zeitung.
