Course of the show

The show consists of four acts as well as an encore and is individually compiled and developed every year. The basis for each act is a selection of music from different genres, from rock / pop to classical to Rhenish-Cologne songs. The music serves as a clock for the visual design of the light, laser, fire and water effects. In terms of content, the program is supplemented by both a special act, which is dedicated to a particular topic, and an encore. The show starts at 8 p.m. Admission and pre-program start at 6 p.m. Before, during and after the show, a moderation with background information and entertainment accompanies the program. Sometimes the moderation appears on the hydroscreen.

Technology and effects

The central element is the 22 meter long and 120,000 cubic meter water basin. 800 movable water nozzles and 100 high-performance pumps make it possible to represent different figures and patterns made of water. Individual fountains reach a height of over 30 meters. The large fountain in the spa park has also been equipped with technical equipment since 2016 and is part of the show.

Hydroscreen

The system offers the possibility of creating a water wall (hydroscreen) that serves both as a screen for a projector and as a basic artistic element during the show.

LED technology

The bright light of the LED technology with 60 spotlights uses the water as a carrier medium and thus allows the various water effects to appear against the night sky. At the same time, it colors the sound wave in different colors.

Laser technology

The laser effects are divided into two groups. The first group of lasers generate images, text and animations on the hydroscreen. The second group radiates over the heads of the audience, creating a room depth of over 100 meters.

Fire effects

Flame projectors create 20 different special effects during the show. They reach several meters in height. In 2017, flame projectors were installed in the large fountain of the Bad Neuenahr spa park for the first time, giving the show an even greater visual depth.

Fireworks

Fireworks are used as special accents during the show and at the end.
