The Inepta Cove ( Spanish Caleta Inepta 'unsuitable bay' ; in the United Kingdom Inept Cove ) is a bay on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located on the east side of False Bay .
The bay is first shown on an Argentine map from 1954. Its name reflects the fact that it is unsuitable as an anchorage. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the name in a partial translation into English. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee adapted this for British maps in 1991 in full translation.
