Clear office
The Klarenamt was an institution of the city of Nuremberg after the Poor Clare Monastery of St. Klara was dissolved .
history
With the settlement of the remaining maids on October 29, 1596, after the death of the last nun, the end of the Klarakloster in Nuremberg came. The administration of the manor has 1,574 passed the Inner Council, a private nurse from among the council enabled families. The Office of the Clareness existed until the end of the imperial city period and was located near the former monastery buildings, which had housed the pawnshop since 1618. The same was done with the property of the Pillenreuth monastery , the administration of which was assigned to the Clare Office. During the Second Margrave War , the last nuns from Pillenreuth found refuge in the Klarakloster, but they could not return due to the destruction of their convent buildings. While still alive, the last nun handed over the monastery property to the council in 1591.
