The Klarenbachkirche is a Protestant church in Düsseldorf-Holthausen , Bonner Strasse 24.

history

In 1953, the Düsseldorf architect Ernst Petersen , son-in-law of the CEO of the Henkel Group , Hugo Henkel , presented a design for the Klarenbach Church that was not approved; a second draft by Petersen and his partner Walter Köngeter was approved. The groundbreaking ceremony for construction took place on June 24, 1954, and the foundation stone was laid on August 31 of the same year. After a year of construction, the church named after the martyr Adolf Clarenbach was consecrated on October 2, 1955.

The tower has a large ring of four bells , which was cast in 1955 by the Rincker bell and art foundry in the chimes h 0 , d 1 , e 1 and g 1 .
