Klaus Amrath (born January 25, 1954 ) is a former German soccer player . He played eight games in the Bundesliga and scored two goals.

Career

Amrath joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1977 at the age of 23 . Before that, he had played Schiefbahn at SC 08 . In his first season at Borussia he was not used and did not make his Bundesliga debut until August 12, 1978 on the first day of the 1978/79 season when he was substituted on for Ewald Lienen in the game against Hamburger SV . He played seven more games for Gladbach this season; on the 23rd matchday he scored his first goal in the game against Arminia Bielefeld . On the following day he scored his second and last Bundesliga goal in a 7-1 defeat against Bayern Munich . In the 1979/80 season he did not play a game and moved to FC Beringen in the summer of 1980 and to B 1903 Copenhagen in 1982 .
