Klaus Frenzel

Klaus Frenzel (* 1947 in Reichenbach / Oberlausitz ) is a German actor and puppeteer .

Life

Klaus Frenzel studied acting from 1968 to 1972 at the “Hans Otto” theater school in Leipzig . Until 1976 he was engaged as an actor at the Landestheater Dessau , from 1977 to 1980 as artistic director, puppeteer and director at the puppet theater in Dessau. From 1980 he was director and puppeteer of the puppet theater division at the Schwerin State Theater . In 1987 he received an actor's award from the Minister for Culture for The End of the World at the national puppet theater festival in Magdeburg. He has made guest appearances at international festivals in Bochum and Hamburg.

Since 1997 Frenzel has been a puppeteer at the puppet theater of the Young Generation Theater in Dresden. Since then he has also taken on roles as an actor in film and television as well as at theaters in Dresden. He also works as a voice actor in the MDR studios.
