Klaus Hartenstein (philologist)

Klaus Hartenstein (born September 9, 1949 ) is a German scientist specializing in language teaching research / Russian .

Life

After receiving his doctorate in 1980 in Slavic Philology , Romance Philology , Language Teaching Research and his habilitation in 1988 at the Faculty of Philology at the Ruhr University Bochum in Slavic Philology, he accepted a professorship for language teaching research and Russian language teaching at the former Central Foreign Language Institute in 1992 (now: Institute for General and Applied Linguistics, Department of Linguistic Research) at the University of Hamburg .

His focus is on employment-related studies of lexicons and phraseology, contrastive language studies, error analysis, learner dictionaries and lexical semantics.
