Career

Klaus Jakobi played first division football in the Oberliga Süd for the Stuttgarter Kickers from 1957 to 1958 . The striker in the World Cup system at that time made his debut in the 1956/57 season on March 17, 1957 in a 1-1 away draw at VfR Mannheim in the Oberliga Süd. He stormed it in the Kickers attack on the right wing. In the following season 1957/58 Jakobi started on August 25, 1957 with a 2-1 home win against Karlsruher SC. In front of 13,000 spectators, he was again in action as the right winger for the “blues” from Degerloch. Rolf Geiger had switched to local rivals VfB Stuttgart in the summer and the Kickers could not keep the class, weakened in terms of sport. Jakobi completed 14 league games (1 goal) and ended his competitive appearances in the Oberliga Süd with his use on January 26, 1958 in a 0-2 away defeat at SpVgg Fürth.

He then moved to Eintracht Trier in the Southwest Football League for the 1958/59 season . At the side of teammates like Elmar May and Paul Pidancet , the man from Stuttgart scored 10 goals in 29 league appearances and Eintracht took 8th place. In his second year in Trier, 1959/60, he came again to 29 missions, but the hit rate went back to three hits and Trier was just able to manage the league with 14th place. Jakobi played a total of 58 games for Eintracht Trier in two rounds and scored 13 goals.

Later Jakobi was still active for the Luxembourg club AS Jeunesse Esch .
