Klaus Kaldemorgen

Klaus Kaldemorgen (born September 14, 1953 in Essen ) is a German fund manager .

Life

Kaldemorgen studied economics at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . He has been working for DWS Investment GmbH since 1982 , initially as a bond fund manager, and from 1983 as an equity fund manager. He became generally known at the end of the 1990s when the DWS Vermögensbildungsfonds I (WKN 847652), which he took over in 1994 (founded in 1970 ), followed the bull market . Since 1991 he has also managed DWS Akkumula (WKN 847402), which is also steeped in tradition (founded in 1961 ). He has been a member of the DWS management team since 2003 and has been its spokesperson since 2006. On January 1, 2011, he gave up this position at his own request and has since returned to DWS as a simple fund manager. On May 2, 2011 the investment fund Deutsche Concept Kaldemorgen (WKN DWSK00) was launched. Since April 1, 2013 DWS Vermögensbildungsfonds I and DWS Akkumula have been managed by André Köttner.

In 2016 Wirtschaftswoche reported that, contrary to earlier statements, Kaldemorgen would manage its Deutsche Concept Kaldemorgen fund for another two years. The fund had achieved an annual performance of 5.5 percent over three years. At the beginning of 2017, the fund managed more than five billion euros. By the end of September 2017, the assets under management rose to 7.4 billion euros.

Kaldemorgen is widowed and has two children.
