Klaus Kippert

Klaus Kippert (born July 6, 1928 in Offenbach am Main , † March 24, 1979 ) was a German sociologist .

Life

Klaus Kippert studied philosophy, sociology, education and catholic theology at the universities of Frankfurt / Main and Mainz. In 1953 he received his doctorate. phil. with Karl Holzamer in Mainz. From 1955 to 1959 he worked as a lecturer at the Heimvolkshochschule Olpe / Westf. From 1956 to 1959 he held a teaching position for philosophy and sociology at the Paderborn Pedagogical Academy . From 1959 to 1961 he was head of the pedagogical department of the Hessian State Association for Adult Education in Frankfurt / Main and at the same time received a teaching position at the Pedagogical Institute in Darmstadt in Jugenheim. Since 1961 he was a lecturer and since 1966 professor at the University of Education in Frankfurt am Main, which was later incorporated into the university there. During this time he worked at the Sociographical Institute at the University of Frankfurt under Ludwig Neundörfer . From 1959 to 1970 he was co-editor of the Hessische Blätter für Volksbildung .

His teaching and research activities focused on the sociology of education, sociology of knowledge, sociology of religion, and political sociology.
