Piano Sonata No. 1 (Chopin)
Frédéric Chopin published Sonata No. 1, Op. 4 in 1828 . He dedicated it to his teacher Joseph Elsner . The first edition did not appear until 1851 by Tobias Haslinger in Vienna. The sonata is rarely performed.
It consists of four sentences :
- Allegro maestoso , C minor , alla breve
- Menuetto, Allegretto , E flat major , 3 / 4
- Larghetto, con molta espressione , flat major , 5 / 4
- Finale, Presto , alla breve, C minor
