Stern clothing factory

The Stern clothing factory in Horb am Neckar , a town in the Freudenstadt district in Baden-Württemberg , was founded by Lippmann Stern (May 5, 1847 - January 1, 1937) from Niederstetten .

The company developed from a men's clothing and cloth shop on the market square to a flourishing clothing factory on Mühlener Strasse. It was the second largest employer in Horb after the Gideon soap factory .

The company founder was involved in the still small, newly founded Jewish community in Horb .

The last owner and manager, Siegfried Stern (born December 1, 1872 in Horb), was murdered in the Treblinka extermination camp .
