The place Kleinvollstedt , on Platt Lütten Vollstedt , is a district of the municipality Emkendorf near the nature park Westensee in Schleswig-Holstein .

As a settlement, Kleinvollstedt is probably older than Gut Emkendorf itself. Kleinvollstedt has not had a proper village center since ancient times, but extends on both sides of the Emkendorfer Straße that goes south from Gut Emkendorf. Apart from that, there are only a few smaller side streets. In addition, Kleinvollstedt has had a school for over 300 years.

Kleinvollstedt belonged to the Emkendorf estate, its inhabitants were serfs of the lord on Emkendorf. Only at the last possible point in time, January 1, 1805, was serfdom lifted. The land remained in the possession of the landlord, it was leased to the former serfs. It was not until 1921 that these so-called rented goods from the “leased village” were sold to the previous tenants, making Kleinvollstedt a “free” village. As a result of this new freedom, for example, the Kleinvollstedt volunteer fire department had to be founded.
