Climbing vest

The climbing vest was a garment derived from mountaineering clothing that was part of the travel clothing in the youth movement of the 1920s. The garment was popular due to its fashionable fate (for the time) and its versatility. Climbing vests were part of the uniform of the Bund Deutscher Mädel and the Jungmädelbund , but also part of the Edelweiss pirates' clothing .
