Kliment von Ohrid Church (Plovdiv)

The Church of Saint Clement of Ohrid in the Bulgarian city ​​of Plovdiv is one of the newest of the Bulgarian Orthodox churches . It is dedicated to the holy Kliment of Ohrid and is located in the Plovdiv district of Christo Smirnensky in the west of the city.

The church was built as a cross-domed church , with a portico , an underground crypt and a 14 m high bell tower. Parts of the relics of St. Kliment von Ohrid, donated by the Archbishop of Ohrid, were installed in the altar . Construction of the church began on December 12, 2006, and the church itself was consecrated on November 25, 2008 in the presence of clergy from Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia and Romania.
