Klimmstein is an Austrian pop / reggae band from Graz , which was founded in 2004. She was best known throughout Austria for the song Paris, Paris , which was recorded with Joe Sumner - son of the musician Sting . At the beginning of 2011, the group reached first place in the SMS voting for the 2011 Song Contest preliminary decision Guten Morgen Düsseldorf , which was part of the preselection on Ö3 . At the television show on February 25, 2011, in which the starter for Austria was determined at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 , Klimmstein achieved third place.
Band history
The group was founded in December 2004 and the first songs were recorded in early 2005. After several appearances, the debut album Wildwochen was released in 2006 , which was held in Styrian dialect. Some time later a DVD with a live recording was released. In 2010, Klimmstein met the son of the musician Sting at a performance, with whom they worked a short time later and recorded the song Paris, Paris . The song made it into the playlists of most of Austria's well-known radio stations, including Ö3 .
