The Mittelbaden Rastatt-Forbach Clinic, Forbach Clinic, formerly Forbach District Hospital , is a basic medical care hospital and has 60 beds. It is located in Forbach in the northern Black Forest and belongs to Klinikum Mittelbaden gGmbH .

history

The precursor of today's Mittelbaden Forbach Clinic is the Forbach District Hospital, founded in 1896. The communities of Forbach, Gausbach, Bermersbach, Langenbrand and the Murgschifferschaft formed the so-called District Hospital Association at that time, which founded the Forbach Hospital and which went into operation with 15 beds for inpatient care.

Between 1928 and 1930 the hospital building was expanded and brought up to the state of the art at the time. This enabled fifty more beds to be created. After completion of further renovation measures in 1953, 105 beds were finally available for nursing.

On January 1, 1982, the Rastatt district took over the sponsorship of the Forbacher Hospital, which was then incorporated into the newly founded Klinikum Mittelbaden in 2004.
