The Clinic for Urology and Urooncology is located in Braunschweig , Lower Saxony . It has been certified as a European training center by the European Board of Urology (EBU).

Medical specialist training has been standardized across Europe in various specialist areas, which is intended to guarantee high-quality training. The title of “European specialist” is currently replacing the national specialist title in some European countries.

The urology and uro-oncology were assessed by an international commission over two days in 2014. The quality of the training, structural processes and the infrastructure were evaluated . In May 2011, urology was given the official title of “Board approved European urological training center”.

Together with the Braunschweig Clinic, there are 16 clinics recognized by the EBU that are approved for this European specialist training. (As of August 2014)
