Imari Monastery
Imari Monastery (Latin Abbatia Beatae Mariae de Imari ; Japanese 伊万 里 の 聖母 (ト ラ ピ ス チ ヌ) 修道院 , Imari no Seibo (Torapisuchinu [= Trappistine]) Shūdōin , dt. Monastery of the Holy Mother of Imari ) is a Trappist abbey in Japan . The monastery was founded in Shindenbaru and moved to Imari , Fukuoka diocese in 1966 .
history
Tenshien Monastery founded in 1953 in the Sainte Famille / Holy Family monastery in Shindenbaru, which was left by the Trappists , a daughter monastery near Chikujō ( abbey from 1954 ), which was moved to Imari in 1966.
