Kopua monastery
Kopua Monastery (Latin Abbatia Beatae Mariae de Stella Meridiana ; English Southern Star Abbey ) is a New Zealand Trappist Abbey in Takapau, Hawke's Bay , Palmerston North Diocese , on the North Island .

The Irish monastery Mount Melleray founded in 1954 on the basis of a donation in New Zealand the monastery Our Lady of the Southern Star ("Maria Südstern"), which was elevated to an abbey in 1960 .
