The Weltenburg Monastery Brewery (also: Weltenburger ) is a beer brewery in Kelheim , Lower Bavaria , the district town in the Kelheim district . In 2008 the brewery had an annual production of 28,000 hectoliters.
history
It is documented as early as 1050 that beer was brewed in Weltenburg Abbey . The monastery therefore describes its brewery as the “oldest monastery brewery in the world”.

The product range includes the beer types Jacobus Leichte Weisse , Hefe-Weißbier alcohol-free , Hefe-Weißbier , Hefe-Weißbier Dunkel , Anno 1050 , Dunkles Radler , Asam Bock , Barock Dunkel , Kellerbier , Winter-Traum , Barock Hell , Pils , Urtyp Hell and Jacobus . It is filled in crown cap bottles for private sale .
It is now sold in 29 countries.

The Barock Dunkel Monastery has already been awarded the World Beer Cup several times :
