The Crooked Wheel Club (Polish Club Krzywego Koła ) was a free-thinking discussion club, active in Warsaw from 1955 to 1962.

It was created in the thaw of “Polish October” in the apartment of the couple Juliusz and Ewa Garztecki on Krummes-Rad-Gasse (Polish: Ulica Krzywego Koła ) in Warsaw's newly rebuilt old town . Later the club meetings took place every Thursday at 6 pm on the old market square, in the hall on the first floor above the “Desa” art gallery.

There was open discussion about art, culture, politics and philosophy. Only one subject remained taboo: the socialist order. The authorities viewed the club as a kind of safety valve on the seething cauldron, under the discreet control of the security agency .

Some club members were also employees of the weekly journal of the young intelligentsia " Po prostu " ( Eng . Simple!).

Many club members later achieved important posts in Polish culture and politics, and seniors are also highly regarded in the 21st century.
