Kneipp monument in Bad Wörishofen

The Kneipp monument was erected in honor of Sebastian Kneipp (1821–1897) in the town of Bad Wörishofen , in the Unterallgäu district , Bavaria . It is located on the Monument Square and was unveiled on August 9, 1903. The monument is the work of the Munich sculptor Georg Albertshofer and is a listed building.

The base of the copper- embossed figure is made of shell limestone . A copper plate with the inscription SEBASTIAN KNEIPP / 1821–1897 is attached to the front . The inscription Steinausführung / Alois Aufleger / Munich 1903 can be read on the opposite side . The figure of Sebastian Kneipp rises on the base on a base. This base plate has inscriptions on its sides. To the north is MODELIERT VON / GEORG ALBERTSHOFER MÜNCHEN and to the south IN COPPER GETRIEBEN / BY XAVER ABT MINDELHEIM .
