Savannah Graybill (born April 25, 1988 ) is an American skeleton pilot .

Career

Savannah Graybill lives in Denver ( Pennsylvania ). She studied journalism at the American University and ran field hockey there with her future skeleton teammate Megan Henry . In 2010 the bobsleigh pilot Elana Meyers got in touch with her, who was looking for new pushers. A year later she switched to skeleton and made it into the national team that same year.

At the end of March 2011, Graybill made his debut in the last race of the season of the Skeleton America's Cup 2010/11 in Lake Placid and finished sixth. In the 2011/12 season she was initially again in the America's Cup and placed in the first four races between ranks 5 and 9. Then she started in the Intercontinental Cup , where she achieved placements between 13 and 17 in six participations and in the Overall ranking 14th. At the US championships for 2012 she won the silver medal behind Megan Henry after finishing 7th the previous year. In the following season she started again in the America's Cup, which has now been renamed the North American Cup, and was able to take third place for the first time in the first race of the season. In December 2012 she achieved another third place before she started in the European Cup in January 2013 and was fourth twice in Igls . At the national championships in 2013 she was second again, this time behind Anne O'Shea .

In the 2013/14 season, Savannah Graybill started in the Intercontinental Cup . After placing between ranks 8 and 19 in six of the eight races of the season, she finished eighth in the overall standings. She won her first title at the 2014 US Championships. For the 2014/15 season she qualified for the World Cup and made her debut there in December 2014 in Lake Placid with a fifth place, which was her best result of the season. She otherwise placed between ranks 11 and 20 and was 15th overall. At the end of the season, she defended her US championship. In November 2015 she won an international race for the first time after a third and fourth place in the Intercontinental Cup at the beginning of winter at the North American Cup in Whistler , before she finished second in the same place in the Intercontinental Cup in early December and won again.
