Skeleton America's Cup 2011/12

The 2011/12 Skeleton America's Cup was a skeleton racing series organized by the Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT) . It was held for the twelfth time and comprised eight competitions on three different artificial ice rinks.

The America's Cup, like the European Cup , was part of the foundation of the World Cup and the Intercontinental Cup . The results were incorporated into the FIBT Skeleton Ranking 2011/12 .

Starting places

The quota places for the individual national associations were assigned based on the FIBT ranking from the previous season. For women, the Canadian and US American associations were able to use four athletes each, and for men, the Canadian, US, Japanese and South Korean associations each had four athletes. All other national associations from America, Asia and Oceania were allowed to bring up to three athletes to the start, associations from Europe and Africa up to two athletes.
