The 2016/17 season was the 18th season of the Skeleton North American Cup , which is organized and played by the IBSF . Together with the 2016/17 Intercontinental Cup and the 2016/17 European Cup, this racing series forms the foundation of the 2016/17 World Cup . The results of the eight rounds of the season at two competition venues were included in the IBSF Skeleton Ranking 2016/17 .

In the women's category, the Korean Mun Ra-young secured the overall victory and is the first Asian woman to win the overall ranking of the North American Cup. The Canadian Madison Charney followed in second place, followed by the American Gracie Clapp . In the men's category, John Farrow from Australia secured the overall victory and is the first Australian to win this rating. The South Korean Kim Jun-hyeon took second place ahead of the American John Daly , who only took part in the races in the United States , but was able to win three of these races.
