Skeleton Intercontinental Cup 2016/17

The Skeleton Intercontinental Cup 2016/17 was a racing series organized by the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF), which was held for the tenth time and, alongside the European Cup and the North American Cup, is part of the foundation of the World Cup . The results of the eight rounds of the season at four competition locations were included in the IBSF Skeleton Ranking 2016/17 .

Participation rates

The quota places for the individual national associations were assigned as follows on the basis of the ranking from the previous season:

• Men:
  • 3 starting positions: Russia , Germany , United States , United Kingdom , Canada     
  • 2 starting places: Austria , Switzerland , Australia , South Korea    
  • remaining nations with 1 starting place

• Women:
  • 3 starting positions: Russia , Germany , Canada , United States    
  • 2 starting places: United Kingdom 
  • remaining nations with 1 starting place
