Donna Creighton (born September 20, 1985 in Portsmouth ) is a British skeleton pilot .

Donna Creighton has been driving skeleton since 2004 and has been part of the UK national team since then. She has been coached by Chris Type since the 2014/15 season . Her first international race she contested in January 2005 as part of the Skeleton America's Cup 2004/05 in Lake Placid , where she was 27th and 32nd. The following season she competed in the European Cup and achieved her best result of the season in the first race in 12th place in Igls . At the Junior World Championships in 2006 in the same place, she finished 13th. In the 2006/07 season she drove again in the America's Cup , where she achieved six top ten finishes in six races. The best result was a third place in Lake Placid. Due to the strong performance Creighton was allowed to move up to the end of the season in the Skeleton World Cup 2006/07 . She made her debut in Winterberg , where she finished 17th as in her second race in Königssee . She achieved her greatest international success to date, finishing eighth at the 2007 European Skeleton Championships in St. Moritz .

For the 2007/08 season Creighton qualified in a preliminary round among the British female pilots for the newly created Skeleton Intercontinental Cup . Here she always finished between six and eleven in six races and was seventh in the overall classification. In addition, she started in January 2008 in a race of the America's Cup in Park City , in which she was second behind Louise Corcoran . 2008/09 Creighton started again in the Interconti Cup. She finished second in Lake Placid and third in Park City. Because of her consistency in the season, less because of outstanding individual performances, she was third in the overall standings behind Katharina Heinz and Amy Gough . In the 2009/10 season Creighton moved up again in the World Cup. The best result was a sixth place in Winterberg . She finished the 2010/11 season in 6th place overall and thus achieved her best overall World Cup placement. With two fourth places in Whistler on the previous season's Olympic track and in Cesana , she barely missed a first podium finish. At the 2011 European Skeleton Championships she came in sixth place and 13th at the World Championships in Königssee.

In the winter of 2011/12, Donna Creighton celebrated her first victory in the Intercontinental Cup in Sigulda and was second in the overall standings behind Rose McGrandle . The following season she returned to the World Cup . After finishing fourth at the start of the season in Lake Placid, however, she was unable to build on this performance in the following races and was 16th in the overall World Cup; at the European Championships in Igls, she was eighth. Also in 2013/14 she started the season in the World Cup , but after four races in which her best result was a ninth place in Lake Placid, she was unable to convince and switched back to the Intercontinental Cup . In this competition she also contested the 2014/15 season , achieved her second victory in this racing series and won the overall standings from Micaela Widmer and Cassie Hawrysh .
