Skeleton European Cup
The European Cup is an international competition series in skeleton , which is organized and carried out by the IBSF . It was created in 2000, analogous to the North American Skeleton Cup, as a racing series simulated after the World Cup . It is held in Europe and now usually consists of eight season races. It is primarily intended for skeleton riders from Europe and Africa. But athletes from America, Asia and Oceania are also allowed to take part in this racing series.
Point system
The points have been awarded as follows since the 2016/17 season:

Odds
Since the 2016/17 season, the distribution of starting places for women and men has been regulated equally. The nations from America, Asia and Oceania are each allowed to send a maximum of four skeleton professionals to the start. In the African and European countries, the limit of two athletes applies.
