Lena Joch (born September 22, 1994 ) is a German skeleton athlete .

Lena Joch from the RSG Hochsauerland lives in Olsberg and started playing skeleton in 2006. She was trained by the state coach of North Rhine-Westphalia , Uwe Schupp. The student won the title at the German Youth Championships in 2008 and the Junior Championships in 2010. She denied her first race in the women when she in 2008 took at the German Championships and the 13th was. For the 2009/10 season , Joch made her international debut in the European Skeleton Cup . She contested her first international race at the age of 15 in Königssee , where she came third behind Sophia Griebel and Michelle Bartleman . This order was repeated in the following race in the same place. In the third race, which was held in Altenberg , she finished second behind Griebel and came fourth a day later. In Igls , she missed the top ten positions in her races five and six. For reasons of age, she was then withdrawn from the European Cup, but still finished seventh in the overall standings. For the 2010/11 season , Joch first took part in a race of the Skeleton America's Cup in Park City and finished sixth. This was followed by the first use in the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup in Winterberg . In her first race in the second highest international skeleton racing series, she only had to admit defeat to Sophia Griebel.
