Michelle Bartleman (born July 7, 1978 ) is a Canadian skeleton pilot .

Michelle Bartleman lives with her husband in Squamish and has been running skeleton since 2006. Since then, the athlete, who was trained by Nathan Ciccoria , has also been a member of the Canadian national team. Bartleman graduated from the University of Alaska . In November 2006 she made her debut in Calgary in the Skeleton America's Cup and finished eleventh in the race. It took until January 2008 for the Canadian to finish fourth in the top ten for the first time in Park City . In the overall standings for the 2007/08 season , she was tenth. The Canadian Championships in 2008 she finished 14th. Since the 2008/09 season Bartleman has been driving in the European Skeleton Cup . There she drove her first race in December 2008 in Winterberg , in which she was sixth. Apart from the last race of the season, where she narrowly missed the top ten as eleventh in Cesana Pariol , Bartleman was always able to achieve single-digit results. In the overall standings she reached sixth place. The Canadian celebrated her final international breakthrough in the 2009/10 European Cup season . In the two races of the season opener at Koenigssee she had only Sophia Griebel admit defeat, the first race in Altenberg still pushed Lena yoke between both. Bartleman finally won the following race in Altenberg as well as the first race in Igls and was third in the second race in Igls behind Jessica Kilian and her long-term rival of the season, Sophia Griebel.
