Martin Rosenberger (born August 19, 1994 ) is a German skeleton pilot .

Career

Martin Rosenberger started skeleton sport in 2010 and finished eleventh in his first German championship at the end of 2011. He has been part of the German national team since 2012. In the 2013/14 season he started in an international racing series in the European Cup , where he finished third on the podium in his second race. In January 2014 he won his first two international races on his home track in Königssee . In the overall standings, he finished third behind his teammates Dominic Rady and Axel Jungk . A year later he took part in the Intercontinental Cup for the first time , where he achieved two third places after a 19th place on his debut in Lillehammer in Königssee. In January he also won two more races at the European Cup in Igls . At the Junior World Championship 2015 in Altenberg he finished fifth and at his first World Championship in Winterberg he finished 16th. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he achieved second place at the Intercontinental Cup in Lake Placid and his first win in this competition; two more victories followed in Whistler . After two more podium places with third places in Königssee, he won the overall ranking ahead of his compatriots Alexander Gassner and Kilian von Schleinitz .

Martin Rosenberger lives in Bischofswiesen and starts for WSV Königssee . In 2014 he began training in the elite sports promotion group of the Bavarian riot police.
