Maxi Just (born July 28, 1994 in Freital ) is a German skeleton pilot .

Career

Maxi Just lives in Fördergersdorf , a district of the city of Tharandt in Saxony , and started playing skeleton in 2010. She previously did athletics and was active as an all-rounder. Just is a Bundeswehr soldier in the sports promotion group in Frankenberg and is studying political science, administrative science and sociology at the distance university in Hagen .

At the German Championships in 2012 , Maxi Just finished eighth. She made her debut in the season 2012/13 in the European Cup and has already won her third race in La Plagne . Three more victories of the season followed in Igls , whereupon she won the overall standings ahead of Lena Joch and Sarah Sartor . At the German championship in 2013 she finished ninth.

In the following season , Maxi Just competed again in the European Cup and was first and six times second in eight races of the season. In the overall standings she was second behind Anna Fernstädt . At the German Championships 2014 she finished eighth and at the Junior World Championships 2014 in Winterberg she finished seventh. In the 2014/15 season Just started in the Intercontinental Cup , where she achieved her best position in four starts with fifth place in Lillehammer . She finished sixth at the 2015 German Championship and then competed in the last three races of the season in the European Cup , where she made it onto the podium twice. At the Junior World Championships in February 2015 she won silver behind Jacqueline Lölling and in front of Carina Mair . In the 2015/16 season she started again in the European Cup and won the second race on her home track in Altenberg and both races in Königssee .
