Katharina Hamann (born September 17, 1988 ) is a German skeleton pilot .

Katharina Hamann started skeleton skiing in 2002. The Ilsenburger , who starts for the BSR Oberhof , is trained by Frank Schwarz and Jens Müller . As early as 2002, at the age of 15, she competed in a German Skeleton Championship for the first time and finished 15th in Winterberg . Hamann drove her first international race in December 2005 as part of the European Skeleton Cup in Königssee (13th). She achieved her best results so far in the 2007/08 season . After she finished second behind Bella Sterlikowa in St. Moritz and achieved her best result so far in an individual race, she was third in each of the following two races in Winterberg. In the overall ranking of the competition, as in St. Moritz, she finished second behind Sterlikowa.
