Eric Gaulin (born November 12, 1975 ) is a former Austrian skeleton athlete .

Eric Gaulin began playing skeleton in 1997 and has been a member of the Austrian national team since 2003. The office manager was trained by Jochen Reiter (rail), Maier Manfred (sprint) and Franz Aue (endurance). He made his international debut in the 2000/01 season when he was used in the very first race of the newly created Skeleton European Cup and came fourth in Igls . He also took part in the other two races without achieving any notable placements and ended up fifth overall. Until the 2003/04 season , Gaulin was used internationally in the European Cup and almost always achieved single-digit placings without reaching podium positions. He also competed in races such as the Tyrolean Championship or the Engadin Grand Prix. The Austrian made his World Cup debut in 2003 in a race in Calgary , where he finished 25th. Only in his next race in Lake Placid could he take an even better place with 23rd place. Gaulin's first major event was the 2004 European Skeleton Championships in Altenberg , where he was 17th. In 2005 he achieved the same result in the same place. In 2006 he was able to improve by one rank in St. Moritz . At the Austrian Championships in Igls in 2006, Gaulin won the bronze medal behind Markus Penz and Martin Rettl . The year before, he missed a first medal in fourth place. At the Tyrolean championships he was second behind Matthias Guggenberger . Gaulin contested his last of 12 World Cup races in January 2007 in Igls and finished 31st.
