List of Austrian champions in skeleton
The list of Austrian champions in skeleton includes all champions and - as far as known - athletes placed in the following two ranks who have participated in Austrian state skeleton championships.
The first championships were held for men in 1979, the women have held their competitions since 1996. For women, the athlete's blanket is so thin that in several years there was no national championship, but the only Austrian representative in the international class. There was also an international competition for the men in most of the years of the event, but the evaluation was carried out in a separate category that was not evaluated for the official Austrian championships.
The men's record champion is Gert Elsässer , who is also the first national title holder. He won all of his six titles in a row. Michael Grünberger , Matthias Guggenberger , Alexander Müller and Martin Rettl were each successful five times . The record champion is Janine Flock , who won eight times in a row from 2007 to 2014.
